An Afro-centric Musical Tribute to John Coltrane on His Birthday

I invite you and your friends to be present at our special tribute performance in honor of John Coltrane's birthday at Oaktown Jazz Workshops in Jack London Square in Oakland.

Titled "The Last Trane to Africa," we'll focus on the Afro-centric side of Trane's music. In addition, our special guest Avotcja has created a riveting, new poem for the occasion that she will premiere at the show. So, get ready for an adventurous and uplifting evening of truly healing music and words.

This concert is part of Jim Bennett's "In The Moment" series, presented in collaboration with Oaktown Jazz Workshops. This show is also supported by Jazz in the Neighborhood's Guaranteed Fair Wage Fund.

Tickets are available at the door with a suggested donation of $20.
